Day 1

You will be collected from your door (anywhere in East Sussex) and brought to the coach for an early departure to the Eurotunnel crossing to France. Once on the French auto route we pass through the Champagne region into Lorraine and finally to Alsace for our overnight hotel -dinner with wine is included. An interesting travelling day with varied scenery.

Day 2

From France we cross into Switzerland with our first stop at the lakeside town of Lucerne. You will have time to visit the Glacier Gardens or for sketching on the lakeside before we take the Gothard pass into the Ticino Valley arriving at our hotel at approx. 1900 hrs.

Day 3

Am & pm: Drawing and painting around the hotel. Free time to walk into town, take lunch and explore. Dinner will be taken at the hotel.

Day 4

Trip to Modena, just a short drive away with time for drawing and painting and lunch (guided tour available for those not drawing). Visit the Farrari Gallery to see the famous cars from road and racetrack. Dinner in the hotel.

Day 5

A full day in Florence ( a guided tour available for those not drawing) drawing and painting with time to visit the cathedral and the Uffizi.

Day 6

A drawing and painting day in and around Pavullo. Free time for lunch and relaxation. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7

Depart after breakfast for homeward journey through Switzerland to Alsace and overnight hotel. Dinner with wine included.

Day 8

After breakfast we return through the Voges mountains with a break at Reims to view the Cathedral or buy wine and cheese. Homeward journey concluded with the early evening shuttle and a taxi home.
